Pupil Premium Information

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise attainment. Many people do not register their child for free school meals even though they are entitled. That is why we have included the following information to encourage people to check if they are eligible.

Although all infant children receive a free meal every day, please still register for free school meals, as your child and the school will benefit further. The school will get £1,455 a year from the government for each child entitled to Pupil Premium, which could entitle them to further support/interventions as below. Please be aware that not all strategies are available to all year groups:

  • Additional booster sessions with a teacher.

  • Books to take home.

  • Additional trips

  • Access to additional interventions

  • Access to music lessons

  • Funding for our residential

  • Revision resources

You may be able to register your child if you receive any of the following:

  • Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earning from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)

  • Income Support

  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit) with an annual gross income of no more than £16,190

  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the four weeks after the person stops qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

If you feel that you meet any of the above criteria, please click/follow the link below, register and inform the school office:
