Pastoral Care Team
Being a parent can be rewarding and demanding, exciting and frightening in equal measure. We are here to offer support and guidance alongside your child’s class teacher.
Sometimes, as parents, we may find ourselves in a difficult, worrying or troubling situation. This may be for many reasons, such as our child’s behaviour at home, sleep problems, bereavement, financial worries, domestic violence and relationship difficulties, mental health, and so on.
If you are looking for advice, please contact Mrs Smith via the school office. She can offer support by signposting you to the right people or agency to help or will simply offer a listening ear. Mrs Smith is also a trained Rainbows Bereavement Counsellor and Sleep Coach. In addition to working with individual families, she also organises a variety of parenting courses and Family Learning.
Mrs Higginbottom is a Teaching Assistant and works with children either 1 to 1 or in small groups to support with social skills and build emotional resilience. Mrs Higginbottom is a trained Rainbows Bereavement Counsellor.
She can work with children who need this support for a number of reasons, for example to help with anxiety, boost self-esteem, support social skills and resilience, support them in coping with anger and bereavement.
Feeling safe, Feeling Supported
