Design and Technology at Carr Hill prepares children to take part in the development of today’s rapidly changing world. It is about evaluating, designing and making products for a specific need or purpose.

Exciting projects foster enjoyment and encourage pupils to think and intervene creatively to solve problems individually or as a team. They are taught to look for opportunities and to respond to them by developing a range of ideas and making a range of products.

They reflect on and evaluate present and past design and technology, its uses and its effectiveness. They are encouraged to become innovators to harness their aspirations with a belief they can flourish into the nation’s next designers or anything they aspire to.
